Born and raised on the land of Kota-doria-Kota Rajasthan, it was only natural that the intricacy of craft, its preserved heritage, and the whole culture around it ignited the creative senses of this designer.

Akriti Binju loves to work on this evergreen, 'modern-vintage' mélange. The heritage of the times gone by always speak to her heart. But like she says, many things have been already said, but many things are yet to be heard and to be discovered.

After graduating from NIFT, Gandhinagar in Textiles designing, she was raring to leverage her skill expertise and material knowledge. Joining as design head at Art-De Rug, gave her just the canvas she needed. Not only to paint her thoughts and imagination but also to weave them into reality.

She brings to the table, a huge passion for details, art, traditions and the stories behind them. As far as she is concerned, ‘Art has a lot to say, one should always listen, only then can you speak its language.’ She looks forward to exploring the possibilities of all the impossible. And fuelling this quest for art is her mission.
