Design Story

Designed to take Centre stage in any setting, Adagio is a part of Anomalous Art collection by Art De Rug. The design twists and creates contorts across the composition to create an illusion of movement of bold abstract lines which works beautifully in a contemporary setting.

FAQs

Are true colors shown on your website for rug images?

Yes, the rugs showcased on the website are in true colors. However, depending on the resolution of your device's screen, there might be slight variation in the color of the actual rug and its website image.

When should I use under-padding?

Under-padding is generally recommended only for thinner carpets since it will prevent the carpet from slipping and help it stay in place. It also provides a cushion-effect which many people prefer, and will also help in prolonging the life of your carpet by preventing pile crush, and protects the carpet from the effects of sharp objects like heels, furniture, etc.

How do you get a rug to lay flat?

Getting a rug to lay flat can be easily done using the reverse roll method – simply roll the rug in the opposite direction. We also highly recommend laying a rug pad down directly underneath the carpet.

What are the different construction techniques you offer?

● HAND KNOTTED RUGS These rugs are the most expensive rugs, where each knot is tied to the warps individually to form the carpets. These type of carpets have the longest manufacturing period These are mainly made in wool, silk, viscose Traditional patterns from Iran are made in hand-knotted style.Lasts for generations.

● TIBETAN WOVEN RUGS These are similar to hand-knotted rugs, difference being only in the manufacturing process. The making involves the use of a rod for tying the knots. This method brings a very nice texture to the rugs These are woven faster than the hand-knotted rugs.

● HAND TUFTED RUGS These are pile rugs in which the fiber is tufted onto a cloth backing. These are the fastest to produce and comparatively very cheap. Any design can be made in hand-tufted style. The rugs are glued with latex onto a canvas backing for sturdiness

● FLAT WOVEN RUGS Unlike other types of rugs, flatweave rugs are made on a loom rather than being knotted, meaning they don't have a tufted pile. As the name suggests, this method of weaving means that flatweave rugs can be very slim-line and flat. One of the biggest benefits of a flatweave rug is the slim-line nature of the fabric. Because these rugs are made with just two woven threads, they’re very lightweight, so you’ll be able to position your rug any way you choose with ease.
